We are thrilled to announce the signing of 34 year old midfielder Rob Wilson.

Another vastly experienced player added to the Rammy ranks, Rob started his career with Lancaster City back in 2008 and had three spells at the Giant Axe making over 250 appearances.

Manager Steve Wilkes commented on Rob’s arrival, “Another fantastic addition to the club”.

“Rob will bring us quality on the ball and he’s another player with experience from playing above. I’ve tried to sign Rob on numerous occassions so I’m really pleased to have finally got him.”

Rob also spent time at Workington, narrowly losing a play off final to Bernard and Jonno’s Salford City before spending the last couple of seasons as captain at Kendal Town scoring 18 goals in the process.

“I’m so happy to be joining Ramsbottom”, said Rob.

“I’ve known Wilkesy for quite a few years and I’ve played with Teaguey previously, so I’m looking forward to the new challenge under them.”

“I’ve always enjoyed playing at the HWRS with opposing teams, so I’m hoping this season can be a successful one.”

Welcome to Rammy, Rob!
