OVERVIEW:
Two in-form sides do battle on Saturday evening (6pm kick-off) with the Rams looking to extended their lead at the top of the table while the hosts have their own ambitions to drive up the table.

It promises to be quite a contest against a side that have already taken three points off the Rams just last month and have an impressive record on home soil, although they have only won one of their four games at The Bowl this campaign.

That result at the HWRS, a result that still stings, is the last time the Rams lost and they have won five of their next six games, the only blip being the highly entertaining 1-1 home draw against Bury.

The Manx side return for a home game for the first time in five games and head back to home comforts with five wins and a defeat at West Didsbury and Chorlton in their last six. This will be just their third home game in their last 14 and, with a partisan crowd behind them, they will be looking to take the scalp of the league leaders once again.

Striker Stephen Whitley is the man to stop with six goals in their last five games as they have eased past Abbey Hey and Barnoldswick Town in their last couple of away days.

Meanwhile, the Rams hold a four point lead prior to the round of games on Saturday after Chadderton were defeated by Bury at Gigg Lane on Tuesday night 3-1 which sees them lose one of their games in hand.

It promises to be quite a game on the TT Isle – support is always welcome, especially for this one!

HISTORY:
This will be the 4th competitive meeting between the sides and the Ravens holding a 2-1 lead, winning the last two contests 2-1 having lost the opener 2-1 at the HWRS.

All three games have been very tight and great contests and the Rams will be looking to reverse the defeat they suffered on 10 September when Harvey Hayhurst’s eighth minute opener was cancelled out in the second half by Thomas Creer and Luke Booth’s strikes for the visitors.

STEVE WILKES SAYS:
“We travel to Isle of Man in good form having won five of our last six games since we lost to them at the Riverside last month.

“It is never an easy prospect of going there for the full weekend, and with a 6pm kickoff as well. However, we go there confident that we can turn things around from the last game and take our positive form into this game.”
