A result that saw the two teams swap places with the Rams now firmly rooted at the bottom of the table.

The Rams week went from bad to worse as they exited the FA Trophy at the hands of east Lancashire rivals Clitheroe.

After the previous two seasons had been declared null and void and curtailed whilst the Rams were chasing a promotion place, enthusiasm was high that the team could continue in the same vein.

Having seemingly put their poor recent run of results behind them in their last outing, the performance in front of the optimistic travelling fans on the Derbyshire border proved a massive disappointment.

After a humiliating 8-0 defeat in their last match, the Rams could have hardly chosen a worst fixture with which to shake off the shackles.

The first ever meeting between the Rams and the breakaway 1874 Northwich club ultimately ended in a disappointing defeat for the visitors, courtesy of an 88th minute goal.
