A player who thrilled and excited Rammy fans for a full nine seasons, our next “Looking Back” profile is none other than Lee Gaskell.

One of the mainstays of the Ramsbottom United team, there is no doubting the legendary status of our next “Looking Back” profile… John Blackley.

In a slight change to the normal ‘On This Saturday’ feature on Rammy Stats, we look back at the devilishly ghoulish (or should that be goal-ish) goings on by the river on the 31st October over the years…. Halloween!

Our history with Prescot Cables stretches all the way back to our first ever season in the North West Counties League Division 1 in 1997 – a league that Cables had been a founder member of in 1982.

Having had ten managers or managerial duos in the eight years since the untimely and sudden passing of Ken Bridge in 2001, the club were in desperate need of some stability.

The Rams travel to North Yorkshire to tackle Tadcaster Albion looking to bounce back to winning ways after a defeat and draw in their last two league games.

Rammy and Kendal Town’s paths didn’t cross until the end of November 2013 but since then we have been quite regular opponents in the various guises of the Northern Premier League’s ‘second tier’.

Edition number six of this series looking back at the events on the pitch on the respective Saturday’s in our non-league history.

Very few will forget the one and only time that we have met Worksop Town. It is on the same equivalent Saturday in October 2013 in the first qualifying round of the FA Trophy.

The name of this feature on the Rammy Stats website is called Have We Met? When it comes to Clitheroe, it is more about when we haven’t as we have been regular combatants since August 1997.
