The Rams managed to get their first three points of the month last Saturday and are eager to end the month in the same fashion. A fantastic attacking and defensive display last time out is exactly what manager Lee Donafee demands of his side and he’ll want that to continue in this one.

Overview:
Rammy come into this fixture hoping to continue their recent good form. A win and a draw in their past two games looks like an excellent place to really kick their season on from. However, the visitors are on a bit of a high themselves beating league leaders Macclesfield last time out.
Runcorn sit 15 places above us in 4th place on 28 points whilst we are down in 19th on 15 points. Although if we were to win this weekend and results went our way we could move up to 17th. The visitors are also unbeaten in the league since the 15th October where they only fell two injury time goals away at Workington.
Ramsbottom will have to be at their defensive best if they are to take something in this game, but if they play how they have in their past two matches then they stand absolutely every chance.
Having the experience of Lee Neville available again last game just helped solidify the Rams defence even more so and the fans will certainly be hoping that he is available once again. The Rammy faithful will also be hoping that new man Henri Ogunby can build on his excellent start from last week and they’ll be eager for him to get on the score sheet again.

However since the “Have We Met” was published on the website the two sides have faced off on two separate occasions and it doesn’t make great reading for Rammsbottom.
The first meeting came on the 16th October 2021 away at Runcorn. It was goals from Ryan Brooke, Dapo Olarewaju and two late on from Iwan Murray that did the damage to the visitors as Runcorn secured the points in the 4-0 victory. The meeting at the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium on the 22nd January wasn’t much better for the Rams as they lost this one 3-1 but, on this occasion though it was that the team kept trying their hardest until sunk by two goals in the last four minutes.
Managers thoughts:
“We will be going into this game with the intention to build on last 2 results, I feel we have shown high levels of grit and determination in last two matches which along with the clean sheets is very pleasing but that said it will be tested to the full.
“We go up against a very good in form linnets team and I feel if the lads can put the same graft in they have shown in recent games and training then we should be able to give a good account of ourselves.
“We know we have a long road ahead and the goal is to keep picking up points to get us up the table.
