OVERVIEW:
After the disappointment of only taking a single point from the trip to Market Drayton Town on Saturday, the Rams still need one point to ensure absolute safety. Many think the job is already done but there is still a small task to do to make sure it is mathematically certain and two games left to complete it.
Standing in the way for this final home league game of the season are near neighbours Trafford for an Easter Monday cracker.
Trafford are 11th, six points ahead of the Rams, certainly safe and nothing to play for, already on the beach etc etc. You can be absolutely sure that that is not the case as the men from Shawe View will be wanting to close their season as high as possible in the table and running with some momentum into the end of the season.. and to stop a horror run too!
They have just one win from the last nine – and the other eight are all defeats – there is a desperate need for a bounce for them!
This is only Trafford’s third visit to the Harry Williams Riverside Stadium in the last nine meetings and the previous two have been separated by a single goal – Tom Kennedy’s goal in August 2019 and Sam Heathcote for Trafford in September 2018.
744 packed into Trafford’s home back in late December for a 2-0 home win so the Rams would like to repay the favour and send the Rammy faithful home with a spring in the step, safety ensured and an end of season glow.
A large crowd is expected on this Bank Holiday Monday so get to the ground nice and early to ensure parking.

TEAM NEWS:
Manager Lee Donafee can welcome back a couple of players who missed the trip to Market Drayton.
“It’s our final home game of the season and a Bank Holiday Monday so I hope to see a nice big crowd on to cheer the lads on.
“Their support for me personally and the lads especially in that tough spell we had in October has been unbelievable, they have trusted and believed in what I am trying to build at the club and that’s why I want today’s game to be about them, the fans.
“We are able to bring back Jamie Rother and Godwin is still battling injury to play for us. But we are still without Billy and Aiden.”
