The Rams have had a week without a game but look to continue their recent resurgence in form when they travel to south Manchester to face table topping Wythenshawe Town.

OVERVIEW:
Two wins in a row. It is what manager Steve Wilkes has been asking for. But the third time postponement of the match with Bury on Tuesday night has allowed the players a bit of time off to recharge the batteries and prepare to go again.
But Rammy will be minus their gaffer this weekend as he undergoes knee surgery and everyone at Ramsbottom United wishes him well for a swift recovery and a return to the dug out. So it will be assistants Scott Campbell and Michael Worthington who will be taking the reigns.
You can be sure though that Steve will be awake in his hospital bed and keeping a close eye on events as his side look to make it three wins in a row for the first time under him at Rammy and the first time for the club as a whole since September 2021.
Standing in their way, though, are the league leaders Wythenshawe Town. One point clear of The new Shakers but having played three games more, their outstanding 17 league match unbeaten run dating back to October was brought to a halt by sixth placed Padiham on Tuesday evening.
So they will be looking for a return to winning ways for sure against the Rams in 15th. With just two defeats all season on their home patch, the visitors face a difficult proposition against a stung Wythenshawe Town outfit.
The Rams produced a solid performance in the 4-2 defeat to the experienced table toppers so know it will be a challenge this time around in south Manchester but a revitalised team, with new signings making a difference are confident of taking something from the game.

“First of all, we want to thank the fans for their unwavering support through the season so far. The management team, Wilkesy included, even though he is laid up with his knee operation want to show our appreciation.
“We are looking forward to a tough test over at Wythenshawe Town if the weather lets us have it on.
“We had them at our place a few weeks ago and it was a tough game but I thought we were in the game in the first half but they are a big, strong, powerful side and their power and experience took its toll in the end.
“But we have changed since then, we have brought in new personnel that has brought a lot of energy and hunger to the side so we are certainly looking forward to going there and getting a game on. Because we know that if the lads stick to the game plan from the last two games, we are confident of getting something from the game.”
